Notes:
Another common theme is being a “Church Planting Movement.”
This is a phenomenon seen throughout the foreign missions field where indigenous (native) leaders begin to build the church in a method that relies on multiplication - one church plants several churches at the same time, who then in tern plant several additional churches.
These movements can result in hundreds of churches being planted in the span of less than 10 years. It is a very different model than what we have experienced in the United States, or even in our own process of planting GracePoint.
Another interesting concept is a Gated Community - I bring it up because of Jody and Howard Johnson - who are part of our Sunday school class. They live in a gated community - and the statistics indicate that the percentage of church participation within their community is the same 10% as same as in the apartment complex where we live.
While this is not an exhaustive list of terms, it should suffice for this conversation.
