The congregation should meet on a regular basis for inspiration, edification, and training to go into surrounding areas to win people to Christ.”
What Dr. Hofferbert is suggesting is a profound and difficult change - but is basically the message that Jeren has preached as he explained our mission statement. We must go out into the community not wait for people to come to us.
The following models of ministry have at least one thing in common - none of them occur in the church. They do not necessarily even have bringing people into the church as a goal.
