The ministry of Project HOPE is designed to be a self replicating ministry. Therefore, they wanted a simple model for the local leaders. You can not replicate a church building, technology, or often even fancy teaching.
Instead, their model is designed to be something that can be taught to any Christian who then goes out and replicates the ministry. Therefore, their model is a weekly Bible Study, held at the leader’s convenience during the week or on Sunday afternoon.
The Bible study is based on the scripture from the previous week’s evening service. The group leaders and missionaries who attend the parent church services will therefore have familiarity with the material being presented. For the cell group meetings, the group reads the passage of scripture, and then proceeds with the Bible Study.
